A championship Stage
The Star Wars: Unlimited Galactic Championship brought players, spectators, and tournament staff to The Venetian Expo for the culmination of the game's annual competitive season. Working alongside Siteline Productions for the second consecutive year, Smartstage delivered the primary competition stage, production platforms, and structural elements supporting tournament play, live production, and audience viewing throughout the three-day championship. The result was a professionally produced environment built for competitors, production crews, and spectators alike.
The centerpiece of the event was a custom competition stage measuring approximately 32 feet by 60 feet and standing two feet high. Designed to accommodate multiple tournament matches, production staff, and featured gameplay, the stage served as the focal point throughout the championship. A fully accessible access ramp with integrated guardrails provided safe entry to the platform, while draping finished the stage perimeter to create a polished presentation environment for both players and spectators.
Unlike a traditional presentation stage, the championship environment needed to support continuous tournament play while maintaining clear sightlines for attendees and production crews. The expansive stage layout provided dedicated space for competitors while allowing officials, camera operators, and event staff to work comfortably throughout each match. Seventeen FastFold frames were incorporated into the production environment, helping define the competition space while supporting event graphics and visual presentation throughout the tournament. Throughout the event, the main stage remained the focal point for featured matches, announcements, and championship play. Its size and layout provided ample space for competitors, officials, and production crews.
Broadcast Production
Smartstage also provided a dedicated Front of House (FOH) technical platform for AV/Media teams that measured approximately 8 feet by 20 feet and standing two feet high. The structure incorporated integrated guardrails and provided a stable working environment for production personnel responsible for managing audio, lighting, and show operations. Positioned to maintain clear visibility of the competition stage, the FOH platform became a critical component of the overall event production.
A Force to Behold
Throughout the championship, players competed while spectators gathered around the main stage to follow featured matches and tournament progression. The competition environment created clear viewing opportunities while establishing a central focal point within the event hall. The combination of staging, production infrastructure, and audience visibility helped create an organized environment capable of supporting continuous tournament play throughout the weekend.

This marked Smartstage's second consecutive year supporting the Star Wars: Unlimited Galactic Championship alongside Siteline Productions. Building on the previous year's experience allowed the staging systems and production layouts to be delivered efficiently while meeting the evolving needs of the tournament. The result was a professional championship environment that balanced competition, production, and spectator experience within one cohesive event space.
